ESS is searching for a LTC Managed Care Expert with substantial experience in managed care contract negotiations and contract management within Long Term Care. We are looking for a candidate with a verifiable track record of success in long term care. The chosen Managed Care Expert will utilize clinical expertise to support managed care contract management activities within the southeast.
This position will manage a caseload of complex insurer requirements, utilizing clinical knowledge and expertise. Position home base will be flexible within the Southeastern US, provided that there is a major airport nearby. 30-40% overnight travel will be required.
Qualifications;
* Strong contract negotiation skills
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, gerontology, or related field preferred
* Prior Managed Care Contract experience within Long Term Care
* Computer literacy required
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse population
* Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change quickly
* Clinical background preferred
The Managed Care Director develops contracts with new providers and updates existing contracts in with assistance from the legal department and operations staff. In addition, this position works collaboratively with the Director of Case Management to ensure compliance with plan needs for utilization. Other responsibilities include assisting clinical staff to resolve complex cases and insurance authorization requirements in order to ensure positive patient care outcomes.
